In a new interview with Entertainment Tonight, Shelton, 46, looked back at the night’s events after his artist, Bryce Leatherwood, was crowned the Season 22 champion. And to top off an already emotional night, the “God’s Country” singer was also reminded that it was his last time appearing on The Voice stage alongside Stefani, as she will not return to coaching next season.  “I walked over to Gwen’s chair after the cameras went off and she’s over there literally sobbing,” he told the outlet. “She was like, ‘This is our last time that we’re going to do this together.’”  The married couple—who initially met on the set of the singing competition show in 2014—will not have another season together, as Shelton’s last run in Season 23 will not include his wife.  “You’re going to make me cry!” Shelton then told ET for bringing up the topic before getting sentimental about his years-long tenure on the hit NBC series.  “It will be the last time she and I do this together, and it is crazy to think of how the show changed my life,” he stated. “I was so wrapped up in this that I didn’t even think about that, and now you’re trying to make me emotional.”  The No Doubt alum also reflected on her time on the show in a tweet about Tuesday’s finale, writing, “Aaand that’s a wrap!!! forever thankful to @NBCTheVoice, this show has changed my life in more ways than i can count. szn 22 forever !!!! gx #TheVoice."  She also wrote, “i’m the luckiest girl in the world,” in response to a fan who called Stefani’s last show with Shelton “the end of an era.”  “Tonight is so bittersweet,” the “Rich Girl” singer added.  Shelton will complete his last season on The Voice in the upcoming Season 23, where he will be joined by veteran host Kelly Clarkson, along with Chance the Rapper and Niall Horan.
