The first group date was a meet-up at the Palm Springs Air Museum with guests Jay Ellis and Glen Powell of the upcoming movie Top Gun: Maverick. The goal: To test the men mentally and physically to help Michelle find her “maverick.” The men were asked to proclaim their love for Michelle while being put through a spinning machine, and then made to battle each other in a gauntlet. Peter Izzo and Will Urena argued (again) during the group date. Peter ended up throwing the bomber jacket Will won on the date into a pool and Will was clearly upset. Martin Gelbspan, who pulled Michelle aside at one point to ask how she was doing, got the group date rose.

The two got a little deeper during the dinner portion of the date, with Rodney talking about his upbringing and Michelle opening up about the issues in her last relationship.
