Joanna Gaines is just as skilled with drumsticks as she is with a rolling pin. In fact, long before fixing up houses with husband Chip Gaines and building their Magnolia empire, the designer dreamt of being a drummer in a band. “Did you know that I play the drums?” Joanna revealed in Parade.com’s exclusive clip from the Season 2 premiere of Magnolia Table. While grinding the crunchy coating for her French toast, the mom of five shared, “When I was newly married, I told Chip, my dream is to be a drummer in a band. And the next day, I come home and there’s a full set of drums. So, I took lessons for a year and I was a drummer.” Seriously, is there anything Joanna can’t do?! The World Needs Who You Were Made to Be author is returning to the kitchen to share her favorite recipes—and showing off her drumming skills—in Season 2 of Magnolia Table, which premieres April 9 on discovery+ as part of the Magnolia Network Preview. The cooking show made its debut in January and was renewed earlier this month for two additional seasons. Following the first Magnolia Table episode, Joanna wrote on her blog, “Playing with recipes, baking, cooking—these are the very things that ground me as a mom and as a wife when my schedule at work can feel busy.
