This fun frolic through ’60s-era Australia follows Peregrine Fisher (Geraldine Hakewill) and Detective James Steed (Joel Jackson) as they solve murders in Melbourne while they navigate romance, feminism and in the case of Detective Steed, a shady boss. The second season is comprised of eight one-hour episodes and finds Peregrine and her detective suitor solving crimes amidst a dog show, an airline stewardess school and a crime that takes place in Steed’s hometown. Returning along with Peregrine and Steed are Birdie Birnside (Catherine McClements), her brother Samuel (Toby Truslove), scientist Violetta Fellini (Louisa Mignone), and corrupt police chief Percy Sparrow (Greg Stone). The new season of Ms. Fisher’s Modern Murder Mysteries premieres on June 7 with the first two episodes with future episodes dropping weekly on Mondays on AcornTV. I’ve had the pleasure of previewing the first four episodes of the new season and can assure you it does not disappoint! Take a look at an exclusive Parade.com clip from season 2 below!
