Executive producer Andy Cohen announced the series’ newest city, its eleventh, during a Mon., Nov. 1 appearance on TODAY. “Get your passports. Our 11th city. We’re going to the billionaire’s playground, the City of Gold, the desert oasis, The Real Housewives of Dubai!” he said. “It’s our first international city produced by Bravo… It’s huge!” The city of Dubai is known for its extravagant wealth, outrageous nightlife, and huge skyscrapers—the tallest building in the world, the Burj Khalifa, is located there. Viewers can expect Dubai’s glitz and glamour will be on full display in the new series. “Everything’s bigger in Dubai,” Cohen said in a Bravo press release. “I couldn’t be more excited to launch Bravo’s first international Housewives series in a city I’ve been fascinated by for years.” Keep reading for everything we know about The Real Housewives of Dubai.
What is the next Real Housewives to air?
The Real Housewives of Dubai is set to debut sometime in 2022, although a specific premiere date has yet to be announced. As the show hasn’t yet begun production, we probably can expect it to bow sometime in the latter half of next year. In the meantime, don’t worry—there’s still much more Housewives to come! While the latest seasons of Real Housewives ofBeverly Hills, Real Housewives of the Potomac and Real Housewives ofSalt Lake City are all currently airing on Bravo, a new season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta will premiere on the cable network on Sun., Nov. 28. Meanwhile, The Real Housewives of Miami is set to get a fourth-season reboot on Peacock in December 2021 after its first three seasons aired on Bravo (which, like Peacock, is an NBC Universal network) from 2011-2013. The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip is also set to premiere on Peacock on Thurs., Nov. 18; that last one is like a Housewives all-star spinoff, with such fan faves as Real Housewives of New Jersey’s Teresa Giudice and Melissa Gorga, RHOA’s Cynthia Bailey and Kenya Moore, RHONY’s Luann de Lesseps, Ramona Singer, and RHOBH’s Kyle Richards doing their thing in Turks and Caicos.
Who is in the new Real Housewives of Dubai cast?
We don’t know yet who the Real Housewives of Dubai will be, but Cohen promises they will capture audiences’ attention. “We have a great group of friends,” he said. “This is gonna blow the lid off the entire franchise.” Speculation has it, though, that Caroline Stanbury of Bravo’s Ladies of London may be part of the cast, as the finale of that show had Stanbury heading off to live in Dubai. Although some women are asked to be on the show, there is also usually a casting process in which women audition and are selected based on how open, unique, drama-filled, and/or funny they are. In the Bravo press release, Cohen notes that these Housewives will be “an outstanding group of friends [who serve] as our guides” to the opulent city of Dubai. Viewers will see the jet-setting friends dealing with relationships and careers, as well as taking off on private planes, running business empires and hosting exotic private island escapes.
Is there a Real Housewives of Dubai trailer?
Yes, there’s a teaser trailer that was just released! The 15-second clip teases Dubai as “the land of opportunity” and “the new American dream” while asking fans to tweet about the spinoff using either “#RHODubai” or “#RHODXB.” (That’s because “#RHOD” is already claimed for the currently-on-hiatus Real Housewives of Dallas.)
