In the video—a montage set to a strumming, wistful guitar soundtrack below moody autumn skies—the proud parents play with Prince George (7),Princess Charlotte (5) and Prince Louis (3) in the sand dunes of Norfolk’s coast, and in the garden of their home at Anmer Hall. Prince William and Duchess Kate posted the video to their official Instagram account with the caption, “Thank you to everyone for the kind messages on our wedding anniversary. We are enormously grateful for the 10 years of support we have received in our lives as a family. W&C.” William Warr shot the video last autumn, capturing moments such as the duke and duchess laughing in delight at a funny face their youngest son Louis has pulled; George looking out to sea; William chasing Charlotte through an orchard, and Kate running to keep up with Louis; and the whole family toasting marshmallows at a campfire. There’s even a poignant glimpse of Lupo, the Cambridges’ now-deceased cocker spaniel, who passed away in November 2020. It appears as though the video was shot on the same day that the family posed for their official Christmas card that year, in which they pose on hay bales in front of a woodpile. Although the family is currently living at Apartment 1A in Kensington Palace while the kids attend school, Anmer Hall in Norfolk is where they are happiest—they spent most of last year’s lockdown in the coastal East Anglian county, three hours’ drive from London. The video was preceded by the release of two new portraits of Kate and William to mark their tenth—or ’tin’—wedding anniversary, in which Kate glows in a blue wrap dress by Ghost and a $12,350 diamond daisy pendant by Asprey.
