In the newly released clip from Season 7 of X Factor UK, then judges Scherzinger, Simon Cowell, and Louis Walsh can be seen deciding which individual artists should be grouped together (instead of cut from the show) because as individuals, they were “too talented to let go of.” When the time came to decide on the fate of Styles, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne, and Zayn Malik, Scherzinger was the one who vouched for them and recommended that the five collaborate. “They’re the cutest boy band ever. I love it.
