According to EW, Dawber will play a character named Marcie Warren, who is a “seasoned investigative journalist who uses her savvy wit and down-to-earth people skills to aid in her tireless pursuit of truth." This is the first time that Dawber will guest star on NCIS. She will appear on four episodes, beginning with the April 6 episode, which is when the series returns from its cliffhanger episode in which Gibbs was suspended indefinitely by his boss Director Vance (Rocky Carroll), leaving his future with NCIS looking grim. Dawber, of course, is best known for her role on Mork & Mindy, but she put her career on hold when she and Harmon married and had children—the aforementioned Sean and their second son Ty.
