What is A Splash of Love about?
Chloe (Rhiannon Fish) is halfway through her PhD program in marine mammalogy (the study of whales) at one of Miami’s top universities. She pulls long hours at the lab, but what she loves most is being out on the water with the majestic creatures. But given her competitive field, shedoesn’t get that opportunity as much as she’d like. At the top of her class, she is considering applying for a highly sought-after scholarship that would fund the last two years of her doctorate. Dr. Andrea Ware (Madeleine Kelders) Chloe’s mentor, who encourages her to go beyond their local waters. Dr. Ware convinces her to expand her studies to cover whales in the Pacific Northwest, where she would gain more experience out in the field, and hopefully the confidence to apply for the scholarship. While there, Chloe meets a whale watching tour guide (Ben Hollingsworth) and they soon find themselves bonding over more than just Orcas.
Who stars in A Splash of Love?
Rhiannon Fish
Could they not have chosen an more aptly-named actress to star in a movie about marine life? The Canadian-Australian actress got her start on Neighbours, a longtime Australian soap opera that has seen actors such as Russell Crowe, Ben Mendelsohn, Kylie Minogue, Sullivan Stapleton and Guy Pearce pass through its soundstages. Fans of Signed, Sealed, Delivered will recognize Fish from The Vows We Have Made film. She played Charley, the very pregnant temp postal worker in the Dead Letter Office that Rita (Yan-Kay Crystal Lowe) and Norman (Geoff Gustafson) eventually adopt into their lives. Ben Hollingsworth
Ben Hollingsworth has starred in several Hallmark films including Love Under the Olive Tree and A Godwink Christmas: Meant for Love. He recently had a guest starring role on Joe Pickett on Paramount+ and has a recurring role on Netflix’s Virgin River. Fun fact: Hollingsworth also starred in an episode of Signed, Sealed, Delivered. He starred in the back door pilot for the series while Fish starred in the most recent installment.
