Season 2 of Star Trek:Picardpicks up a year after the events in the season 1 finale. The synth ban has been lifted and Dr. Jurati (Alison Pill) and Soji (Isa Briones) are part of a diplomatic envoy spreading synth knowledge and acceptance as they tour the galaxy. Picard is enjoying retirement back at his chateau harvesting grapes for his wines with Laris (Orla Brady). He and Laris have fallen into a familiar stride as they continue on without Zhaban (Jamie McShane), who passed away over a year ago. Cristobal Rios (Santiago Cabrera) is back in Starfleet and captaining the Stargazer, which happens to be Picard’s first command. Rios and the Stargazer are sent to investigate an anomaly that leads into the story arc for the second season. Raffi (Michelle Hurd) is now an instructor at Starfleet Academy where Elnor (Evan Evagora) now attends as a cadet. Seven of Nine (Jeri Ryan) now captains the La Sirena and is still in league with the Fenris Rangers. Raffi and Seven of Nine looked as if they were about to start a romantic relationship at the end of last season and we’ll see where that relationship is headed during season two. Ryan and Hurd recorded the audiobook, No Man’s Land, which takes place directly after the events of season 1 of Picard and helps bridge the gap between the two seasons. It also fills in the bits and pieces of Raffi and Seven’s emerging relationship. While the team seems to be spread far and wide, they’ll soon find themselves together again in unfamiliar territory and not-so-ideal circumstances after a familiar face reappear in Picard’s life. The season 2 premiere of Picard drops Thursday, March 3 on Paramount+. Next, Everything You Need to Know About Picard Season 2
