As the caravan makes its way to the nearest fort, James (Tim McGraw) and Margaret (Faith Hill) face a heavy decision. Those in the caravan also have decisions to make including Josef (Marc Rissmann) and Risa (Anna Fiamora), both of whom are still suffering from the effects of the rattlesnake bite. Later, Shea (Sam Elliott), Thomas (LaMonica Garrett) and James take drastic measures to save one of their own. It goes without saying, we can expect some deaths in this episode but who and under what circumstances remains to be seen. While Paramount+ has announced they picked up additional episodes of 1883, it’s unclear when those episodes will air and if they will be additional episodes for season 1 or if they will be a part of season 2 or something else altogether. No official announcement has been made for a season 2 pickup, but with the show’s popularity, we can’t imagine they won’t! There are still so many stories to tell!
