It picks up almost a decade after the original show concluded on Nickelodeon and finds Carly and her friends (Laci Mosley and Jaidyn Triplett, plus Cosgrove’s fellow original castmates Jerry Trainer and Nathan Kress) navigating work, love and life in their 20s (Paramount+). AT THE MOVIESIn The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard, the sequel the hit 2017 action-comedy, bodyguard Michael Bryce (Ryan Reynolds) and hitman Darius Kincaid (Samuel L. Jackson) team up to protect Kincaid’s volatile con-artist wife (Salma Hayek) as they all become entangled in a global plot with a powerful madman (Antonio Banderas). It’s a little late to hop down the bunny trail for Easter (thanks for nothing, COVID-19), but Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway finally hits theaters with the voices of James Corden, Elizabeth Debicki and Margot Robbie alongside real-life stars Domhnall Gleeson and Rose Bryne. The continuing adventures of everyone’s favorite bunny finds Peter making a break from the backyard and heading into the big city, where he meets some new (shady) characters and creates chaos for his entire family. NEW ON DVD Michelle Pfeiffer is a gem in French Exit (Sony Pictures Home Entertainment) as a widowed Manhattan socialite whose change of fortune compels her to seek a new life in Paris with her directionless son (Lucas Hedges)—and a very special, ethereal cat named Small Frank. Strap yourselves in for an epic monster mash in Godzilla vs. Kong (Warner Bros. Home Entertainment), the latest big-screen match-up between the Tokyo’s King of the Monsters and the Eighth Wonder of the World, moviedom’s most famous giant ape who first appeared onscreen in 1933.
